The Role

Naks & Associates is seeking an Associate (Litigation-Drafting & Research) to support its litigation practice through detailed legal drafting, case research, and preparation of case-related materials. Based in West Patel Nagar, New Delhi, this role is ideal for a motivated legal professional who can contribute meaningfully to case strategy, documentation, and day-to-day litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

Draft plaints, written statements, petitions, replies, rejoinders, applications, notices, and other litigation documents with accuracy and clarity.
Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, case laws, rules, and procedural aspects relevant to ongoing matters.
Appearance before various courts and tribunals.
Assist in preparing case briefs, notes, summaries, and research memos for internal review and court proceedings.
Review case files, identify key legal issues, and support the development of effective litigation strategy.
Coordinate with advocates, clients, and internal team members to gather facts, documents, and case-related updates.
Track court dates, filing deadlines, and procedural requirements to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Maintain organized records of pleadings, research materials, and case documentation.

Required Qualifications

Must be Law graduate from a reputed Law College and having Membership of Bar Council.
1 to 5 years of experience in litigation drafting, legal research, or a similar legal role.
Strong knowledge of general litigation procedures, legal drafting, and research methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to analyze legal issues, interpret case law, and prepare well-structured legal documents.
Proficiency in using standard legal research tools and MS Office applications.
A proactive, organized, and professional approach to managing multiple assignments and deadlines.

Nice to Have

Candidates residing nearby Patel nagar are preferable.
Prior experience handling matters before district courts, tribunals, or other litigation forums.
Exposure to drafting and research across multiple practice areas.
Familiarity with legal databases and citation standards.
Strong client-handling and coordination skills in a professional legal environment.
